I'm moving too

If all goes as planned, I will be closing on my very own home the end of April. While I am so excited, and terribly anxious, I am definitely looking forward to decorating and making this place home for good. 

Of course, I've been pinning away and have so many ideas thanks to Pinterest!

Tallulah & Pupcakes

Today is Tallulah's birthday. You know, my sweet little fluffy pup. She is now 5 years old. OMG. I love my little cuddle buddy and just don't know what I would do without her. I thought I would try a little something different for birthday. Thursday, she is getting a trip to the spa (much needed) and last night I made her some "pupcakes!"

I found the recipe on Pinterest. 

It started like this...

a few other ingredients, that turned into this...

I needed a few of these, and into the oven they went.

We waited

& out came these delish little pupcakes. They did actually smell pretty tasty.

The frosting was peanut butter & plain yogurt! That was tasty. I did try it.

This morning I let Lu try one or two & she loved them! 

Happy Birthday my little Lu! I love you.

A Chevron Pinterest Creation

I saw this on facebook, so I had to do this for my new apartment. Here is the inspiration.

I am sure it would have been much easier if I marked the board better, but I was a little too impatient for that. So I taped it off. 

Painted two coats. Let it dry.

And peeled off the blue tape.

Of course, there are some small places where it leaked through, but overall I am rather happy with the outcome! The canvases are only $7.99 for a pack of two at hobby lobby (+ a 40% off coupon), so the entire project was well under $10.00! I think I might do it again, but in a more tan/peach color. What do you all think?

Sleep Sweetly

I splurged yesterday on this awesome quilt from Urban Outfitters. Since I am moving I wanted to treat myself to something new, so I did just that. Now to find a dresser and nightstand to go along.

Whacha Think???

I think this title is entirely too long, but I was trying to fit it all in there. I think I need a new title for my blog. A standard title that never changes. The "just a little girl" is so totally me, but it is just a quote from a song I fell in love with a couple of years back. I write each entry almost like a diary entry, or some of them I do. That is where the mis-kept part comes in. I don't do it everyday, I don't have time, it is normally a little scattered and all over the place, but it is always what I feel and straight from my heart. I'm not a writer, never had that want in life. But I love doing it, only because it has always been there to hold my feelings. My journals keep the best secrets, understand everything, and are just there to listen. They add no unneeded opinions, they just soak it all in for me. And that is all I need. So that is why I write. My poems might be below average or needed a comma here or there, but it is what I feel deep down and that is all that matters, right? Any other new title suggestions??
