Weekend Snaps

After work Friday, I grabbed dinner and drinks with one of the best. Seriously, you can never go wrong with some mexican food.
I haven't spent this much time at the baseball park in years. It was nice to do a little reminiscing. I watched my nephew on Saturday
and Sunday headed to Tuscaloosa to cheer for the competition.
I don't mind cheering for Auburn when this guy is playing. War Eagle is still a little tough so we just stick to War Connor.
Hope everyone had a great weekend. This week starts my super SUPER busy two weeks and I am so looking forward to it. Texas and a closing coming up!

"Here's the truth about big life changes..."

I'm a quotes kinda girl. One liners to live by. (Or sometimes more than one) Most of the time it's way easier said than done and being on the receiving end is for the birds. However, when times hit the hardest your troops really do rally with you. I couldn't be more grateful for mine and all the nonsense they've put up with. Each day I find myself with another word of encouragement and although I wish it were different, it really does help. I keep saying through all of this that it's just not fair. But life isn't fair, and it never will be. I really do have so much to look forward to and I try daily to remember that. If anyone needs a good quote for the day maybe one of these will do. They've either been sent to me or I've found them on Pinterest. I would take total claim but I can't. Happy Friday world.

A Hocus Pocus Halloween Party

On Friday, we had a Halloween party at our apartment. So many of our food ideas came from Pinterest.  Besides the decoration photos, I took ZERO pictures. I guess it was because we were having too much fun.

We were the crew from Hocus Pocus! My hair only lasted for the first few pictures. After that, I was tired of messing with it. :) Don't you just love the loofah and Dove soap bar?
HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!

Girl's Night!

I'm clearly a terrible blogger. I don't have too much new going on, but things are pretty grand. I went out with my good friend Suzanne and made some new great friends too. We had an absolute blast! Oh, and in just a few short weeks, Suzanne and I are hopping on a plane to NEW YORK CITY! We are so excited. Any must dos while there?

Happy 25 Miss Meghan!

This past Friday was Meghan's birthday (the brother's girlfriend). I had to work but was still able to join in the festivities. We ate at FIVE, and it was DELICIOUS. I'm not sure where it is besides here, so if you are ever in Birmingham or Tuscaloosa...eat there. I think I tried a little bit of everything. We hit the town after that and had a blast. Happy Happy Birthday Miss Meghan! I am so glad I was able to share in your day.

This is about where I realized my camera was on the wrong setting. ;)

Call Me Maybe

After working 12 hours yesterday, and delivering news no nurse should want to deliver, this girl was getting out on the town. I'm completely aware it's the field I chose and I will always love being nurse, but some things will never get easy. This past month has been a bit of a whirlwind of emotions, so last night could not have come at a better time. My brother went to the lake, so I kidnapped his sweet girlfriend and we met up with my two college roomies, another great friend and off we went to a swanky little place called Blue Monkey

Look who is rocking their new coral skinnies... This girl.

our night didn't end there, so I'll save that for another post. Also, I think we heard Call me Maybe 5 times while we were out. It is rather catchy, and I kind of love it.
top 5 most fun nights on the town.

Uh oh, the big 3-0

My sister's birthday was Friday (the day after Ryleigh's). I will say the day normally gets overlooked because we are preparing for Ryleigh's big bash, but not this year! We were not letting it pass us by. She turned THIRTY, so we had EVERYONE out to dinner at a yummy Japanese restaurant. It was so nice of everyone to come out and I am so happy that the day was all about my big sister. I love her.

We even had a few more people at dinner then all of the pictures show. Happy Happy Birthday sis. 143.
